    I could not find Universal Flex but did find Animal Flex by Uninversal Nutrition. Same stuff? If so, it looks promising.

    MSM - 5 grams a day forever - it helps improve cartelidge synthesis and is a mild anti inflamatory
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methylsulfonylmethane

    5lbs for $40 - it will last you a couple of years

    Find animal flex on BB.com, they have great deals on there. I also agree that MSM is good, I've been using it for a while now. I tried Cissus before too but it did absolutely nothing for me so not sure why everyone said it was good.

    here are the ingredients. don't get too obsessed, as it is a report paid for by the manufacture (pretty sure).

    the main ingredient is MSM!

    extremely inexpensive

    other ingredients that do NOT work for me are

    glucosimine - fairly expensive
    chondroiton - fairly expensive
    Hyaluronic Acid - works great in knee injections - not so great taken orally - very expensive

    your best bang for your buck is the MSM
    if you want to economically try the other ingredients, then it would be better to buy the bulk powder version

    buying this as a "cocktail" of ingredients like this only benefits the manufacturer, NOT your wallet!!

    and I'm thinking that would be about $40 or so.

    5lbs = 2,240 grams

    if you take 5 grams a day, then you have 448 day supply of MSM

    Actually it's your link that I copied, tried to put it with your name in it as a quote, didn't do it. tried to edit, said something about 4 characters minimum.. in how long did you notice an improvement after you started taking it?

    Hey TR I seen you mention this stuff before, think I'm gonna give it a try. Been having some issues in my hands(knuckles, wrist) due to my job, do think this will help that.

    Please give MSM at LEAST 30 days to begin noticing some slight improvements.

    the stuff is so damn cheap I can't see why you wouldn't try it just to see for yourself?

    This anti inflammatory my doc has me on is amazing. I was having to use a handrail on stairs and now almost no pain after a few weeks. In love.

    I second all the calls for MSM. I have Ehlers-Danlos, which makes my joints all hypermobile and extremely weak. I take MSM every morning with a calcium chewable (Calcium, D-3, and Vitamin K to be exact). My wrists and knees are definitely doing better since going on them. Search around for bargains with the MSM, the prices differences are definitely not marginal.

    Great resource, Roman. I was just mentioning it because I have noticed that there's no real stable price on it, it all depends on where you get it. I couldn't quote your original link in my post because the Spam filter makes anyone under 25 posts its b*tch.

    That's interesting though. I always take mine in capsule form for the convenience, but this is an even cheaper alternative. I might try it for myself when I run out of what I've currently got.

    In this sport, quite often, you learn to get the biggest bang for your buck. I certainly make the effort. I jjust put direct into my mouth and swallow down with some water. it's a little better, but nothing compared to NAC direct into the mouth........

    How's the aftertaste? That's usually how I take my glutamine, but I have to chew a stick of gum directly after because it leaves a terrible taste in my mouth for about an hour.

    let's put things in perspective, because I do glutamine direct in the mouth too....

    on the "Nasty" scale of 1 to 10, ten being the absolute worst, and one being hardly noticeable,

    Glutamine = 1
    MSM = 3 or 4
    Arginine = 6 or 7 (due to fishy aftertaste and the way it sits real heavy on my stomach afterwards)
    NAC = 9

    You need to be able to work past simple constraints like "taste", and just focus on what your body needs to improve.

    My mom cannot do MSM direct, and needs the capsules.

    I guess that does put it in perspective. Definitely agree with the looking past taste. Before I found my Whey-of-choice I went through quite a few nasty tubs, but I finished them all.

    Hah, from your description of it I think I can wait. I haven't read much about NAC yet. I might be wrong, but unless you're on orals or tren, isn't it typically to protect the liver if you drink? I've got a while to go before I'm ready to cycle so I haven't looked into it.
