    preworkout/fat burn for women

My wife is doing some classes such as crossfit and other kickboxing high intensity classes. She feels shes hitting a plateau. She eats good but doesnt use many supps. Any suggestions? I dont know much about supps n women. She is wondering about a pre workout and anything that may help with a fat burn. She doesnt want just a fat burner pill or any gimmicky stuff. Just looking for some advice to take it to the next level.

Shes in pretty good shape but still would like to kick 10-15 more lbs. Shes about 5'5 135lbs. I have no idea on bf% or anything. We had a kid 2 years ago so shes still really self contious on her midsection.

    Thanks for any help!

multivitamin, whey protein, coffe as a preworkout or if she really needs a preworkout go with some muscle pharm assault as its not that heavy on stims tell her to start on low dose as from 1/2 scoop or less then that and check tolerance.

Does she want to lose fat? Is that her goal or does she just want more energy for her workouts?

Both. She says she feels like she needs a boost sometimes. She also wants to cut about 5-10 lbs before we head to Mexico in 3 months. She had been seeing great results but has plateaued recently. She does a high intensity workout class that consistently changes activities so I doubt it's repetitive exercises that have done it. I think it's more that she's got down to a lower weight and that the biggest thing will be diet for her to continue to lose weight. I (she doesn't eat bad but probably could improve a little)
She was just curious if there was anything that could help her with her progress and I figured you all would be the people to ask.
She has been drinking one of my ON Gold Standard protein shakes post workout. That's about the only supplement.
I bought her a different protein called v-core. It's supposed to be a mix with casein and a really lean protein but she hasn't started taking it yet. I also just got her a multi v.
Other than that I have no idea so any suggestions would be great.
    Thanks

My suggestion is that you/she post her diet in the nutrition forum and detail calories and macro's. we will also need her stats age, height, weight, body fat %. This may help with the %

Diet... I guess neither of us live on a "specific diet". Here would be a sample though I guess

    Morning - Coffee (2-3Cups)
Bowl of cereal (Fiber One/Honey Bunches of Oats something of that sort with skim milk)
    Banana

Lunch - Turkey sandwich with a slice of cheese on 100% whole wheat bread
    Light and fit yogurt

    Snack - Granola bar

Dinner - 6-8 oz chicken breast with brown rice and vegetables maybe some skim milk or just water

Workout class for hour at night followed by protein shake

Night snack of some sort. Differs but usually something light

Drinks lots of water throughout the day.

Not sure if that helps but thats the best general daily example I can give

Shes 27 yrs old about 5'5" fluctuates between 135-140 lbs. I would guess shes somewhere between 22-25% based on that.

Can you work out the macro's and calories on that list please?

Most of us here need to count calories and macro's to make specific changes to our body composition. If we look at your wife's specific stats then it looks like her Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is approximately 1600cals. This is how many calories it SHOULD take to keep her weight steady. Obviously a reduction in these calories would normally equal weight loss. A recommended macro split for weight loss is 50/30/20 (protein/carbs/fat). I would say that the diet listed doesn't meet those figures but I would be interested to see.

Any thermogenic that she would use in lieu of changes of diet would only have a temporary effect (provided it worked at all) and as soon as she ceased use she would regain her weight if she was still eating the same amount of food.
