Is your regular food diet lacking in protein? That's the "best".

I don't really do shakes anymore, but when I did I used InteK Isolate Carb Free protein.

What results do you expect from protein powder?
protein powder is used to supplement your diet to help meet your protein needs.
It is a convenient and in some ways a cost effective whey to reach your macros..

The best protein to take would be from a variety of lean whole natural foods.

    My personal favourites are:
    Chicken
    Fish
    Kangaroo
    Milk
    Nuts
    Cottage cheese

And as far as powders are concerned I use:
    Max's superwhey
    ON 100% gold

Visit the diet section, by the sound of your question your diet may need some work, post up what you are currently eating..diet is where your results will start and end. if you are not tracking macros you will be disappointed with your results. Eating the correct number of calories made up of the right macros is essential to your goals.

Mm hard to explain really I've never tried any "game" meat..
It's a red meat and very lean, taste similar to beef but not. That's about as good as I can explain it lol, I eat it purely for the macro count tbh and the cost.

I even make jerky out of it, if I have some about to go off that I cbf cooking.

I've steered away from it lately however, in trying to reduce my red meat consumption to max of once a week, I was eating 300-500g of red meat a day every day (mainly beef) always lean though.

Trying to eat fish and chicken every day now, 2 breasts through out the day and the fish for dinner, my digestive system feels alot better for it

I agree. You can adjust your diet so that you get more than enough protein.

The brand of protein powder you go with isn't going to dictate much of your "results". The difference mainly lies in taste, cost, and digestibility. Sure, some may have a tiny bit more fat or carbs than others, but is your diet so perfect that this matters?

total lean is not the way u wanna go if ur trying to compensate for a lack of protein in ur diet or for that matter even if ur supplementing it....as I recall it has like 7 grams of protein per serving(if ur talking about the gnc total lean)....as mentioned above get ur protein through actual food intake and if u still want to supplement look for a higher protein quantity in ur powders

I precook all my meals n when I get bored ill do eggs n other basics. But....
Because I can sometimes do as long as 4-5 hours (at most) ill have two scoops 'matrix whey protein' with water. But that's just me for price.believe its around 23gprotein amongst ur aminos Etcetc (per scoop) making 46....but... ill still eat after. I eat alot of red meat based meals. Carb load hugely before workouts. I believe the 'best's of the shakes would more likely be bovine based. But seriously try to eat enough of the right stuff. Its near enuff behind most peoples downfall in reaching their goals. If ur gunna do this the most effectively. Do it all correctly n save urself years...(literally)

I do not agree .. I don't think all protein supplements are created equal... When I bulked up protogen a protein blend of whey, casein, egg and milk protein did wonders and my bulk was nice and lean.

using dymatize iso 100 has been great for recovery p.o. During my cut

diet is a foundation but I think supplements are necessary depending on someone's lifestyle
