    Is 400mg of caffeine too much???

    I roughly take2 scoops of jack 3d micro before workout and drink 1 diet coke per day. I trying to make my own pre workout with herbal ingredients and currently have 200mg capsules of caffeine. Would it be too much to take 200mg in th morning and 200mg of caffeine before workout (around 5pm)? Or is that way too much?. From my understanding we can safely consume 300mg of caffeine per day.

    Depends on your tolerance. You can consume way more than that. A Venti Pike coffee from starbucks contains 415 mg. I drink 3 to 4 of those daily.

    AS long as your stomach can tolerate it, but caffeine lke anything else you build up a tolerance ti it to the point where it willjust give u tummy aches lol.

    Exactly. Like iron said. Some are sensitive to caffeine. I can take 400mg right before bed and still fall asleep.

    I thought I was bad with the Starbucks coffee,,,,WOW!!!

    I take 400mg caffeine in an ECA stack or when I make homemade pre workout and never had any issues.

    Yea if you've taken 2 scoops of Jack3d before I'd think you'd be fine with 400 mg. can't be that much difference between a Starbucks venti and a preworkout. Don't do both tho...

    I regularly consume about 400mg/day from coffee/tea. I think you're cool

    I remember a study was done at northwestern university by some of the medical students i think they found that 400 mg a day was a safe dose to consume for long periods of time anything over had negative effects on your nervous system, The side effects may not be felt immediately just like anything to much of a good thing leads to be a real bad thing. Don't quote me on the number i remember reading it when studies were posted in the halls

    Really?! In the UK red bill has 160mg per can, and it comes with a "High Caffeine" warning.

    Same here...the bad part is my body builds tolerance so quickly after two weeks of consuming this preworkout concauction (400mg caffeine) I could prob fall asleep soon after if my head hit the pillow. This is why I normally cycle my caffeine intake.
