milk thistle vs ALA for liver support
Is there any comparison? Which would be best for someone who just wants to take it while on trt for preventative reasons? Thanks guys, just about done with my ala and trying to make a choice.

The best liver support is NAC. Because it's inexpensive, readily available and just as effective as all the other drugs including the most expensive ones.

N - ACETYL CYSTEINE? Looks like overkill from just browsing on it but I'll give it a try..

Couldn't agree with you more Jimmy! BTW, hope all is well!
FYI, ALA is made up of both the R and S isomers. Studies have shown that the R isomer by itself has improved benefits as the R and S compete for absorption. I've personally supplemented with R-ALA and it helped my insulin sensitivity quite a bit. My fasted bg levels went from around 95 down to 85 over a 2-3 month period...so in that regards R-ALA works great.
