Scientists at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center have confirmed previous findings that high levels of fatty acids from fish oil and fatty fish are associated with a 71 percent increased risk of high-grade prostate cancer.
Thought I would share this. I read alot of the links. Very interesting. Looking forward to your guy's feedback.

nice catch. I just coughed up my fish oil caps from ramming my fingers down my throat.....
....but they are still intact so.....
(waste not, want not)

I think my point is that a good number of us over do it with the supplements, self included. I cant think of any reason for needing 1000% of mdr of vitamin e. but that's the size the caps come in

Yeah. I understand. I'll never agree so no reason to go further, lol.
But I will say... RDA is nonsense, and even diagnostics ranges are old and useless. For example, B12. Range is general 200 to 1000. That's where everyone "should" be. Take it to 4000+ and you'll understand my point.
Do you need to supplement to stay healthy? Absolutely not. But you can certainly do better than average.

Austinite, I knew you had something up sleeve to answer the reply. A guy could go crazy trying to figure out what is good vs. bad in the supplement world.
TR: Couldn't have said it better. The difficulty is learning the foods that contain the nourishment we need, when to eat, how much to eat, and cooking so it tatse's decent!!

Where do you think the fish get it from? I skip the middle men (food chain) and go straight for the algae. Spirulina and chlorella every day.

I have been helped by A LOT of your posts and I know you are never wrong but... If for some reason the fish oil/cancer link is one day proved, you will have an alternative with algae.

If fish oil does cause cancer AR-R may want to look into Chemotherapy research drugs as the majority of us will be in trouble from taking fish oil. LOL
