    Pre-workout

    Hey! I've been looking to start taking a pre-workout, but I've done a little reading and saw some things saying they can be bad for your kidneys. I only have one kidney so that was a little concerning... Should I stay away from pre-workouts or are only some of them bad for your kidneys?

    Some can be. But most OTC stuff is fine. Try L-Arginine for a start.

    I like vega sports pre workout during a prolonged stim break. It's all natural so it's probably better on internal organs. (This is just an educated guess however)

    L-cittruline good for pumps. 3gs. And l-arginine I don't take the latter yet. But believe 5gs to be STD dose. Lovely taste. Lolz

    Oh and black coffee no sugar ha-ha

    Wouldn't you want to avoid that as well during a stim break? It still does contain caffeine.

    I have tried L-Arginine alone..LOVED IT. Then I tried GNC's L-Arginine and L Cituline combo and didn't get the crazy pumps I got from L-Arginine alone. I have stacked L-Arginine and 5mg of Cialis BID and I had crazy pumps AND increased vascularity!

    While they are both stuffed with stims. I like Hemo Rage (the old formula, new one sucks) or Muscle Marinade. Muscle marinade also has a pretty impressive amino acid profile IMO so I prefer it.

    L-arg n l-cit are basically the same when they get in the body. How much cut was in there. N arg too. Mighta been under dosed. Happens unfortunately

    If you keep it simple and just buy Arginine and use it for your pumps. If you need a boost of energy you could even just try having a cup of coffee to give you a little caffeine to jump start your workout. In pre workouts that is typically the stimulant they use.
