    Vits/Supps - when to take

Right now I'm taking the following:

Liquid CIA - 5mg in the AM before eating

Two eggs and toast for breakfast (pretty much every day)

    Immediately after breakfast:
    500mg Vitamin C (pill)
    50mg Zinc (pill)
    10,000 - 12,000 IUs Vitamin D (drops in oil)
    1 B-150 complex (pill)
    1000 mg L-Arginine
    1000 mg L-Citrulline

    After workout:
    1000 mg L-Arginine

    Before dinner:
    Cialis - 5mg (pill)

    Before bed:
    1000 mg L-Arginine
    1000 mg L-Citrulline

This timing has just organically developed, so I thought I'd throw this out there to see if anyone sees room for improvement.

    Thanks!

Seems like a lot of vitamin D. Are you currently deficient?

I've consistently tested in the low 40s on Vitamin D (the very bottom of the range) while I was on 6000 - 8000K/day. That's when I upped it to 10-12

Ok glad to hear you're watching it. Over dosing vitD can lead to hypercalcemia.

I actually haven't had it tested since I upped the dose about 4 - 5 months back... maybe I should dial back down to 4 - 6K. Scares me to think I might be doing more harm than good.

I would look into the cause of deficiency so you don't have to supplement so much. I've been dealing with deficiency for years.

Your vitamin C dose is way too low. And B complex pill is merely ineffective. I would switch to methylcobalamin sublinguals.

If you run those doses, have blood work done in 14 days. Hypercalcemia isn't a common occurrence but will affect kidney function and cause nausea, vomiting, and weakness (most common effects). The few people I've treated for hypercalcemia actually thought they had the flu as the symptoms are often similar.

I too have vitamin D deficiency, I have been taking similar doses and it doesn't seem to absorb very well. Are there alternative forms of vitamin D such as injections ?

edit, thought you said D. I run 1000mcg injection weekly. Methyl. 500 twice weekly, mixed into hCG so they go together.

I had a 300,000 IU Vitamin D injection and that was the only thing that raised my levels. Then a 600,000 IU injection and I'll probably do that every so often (Have to test again to determine frequency)

Thanks austin. How do I go about determining a cause for deficiency? My main thought is that I sit in a dark office all day

The B-150s make me feel great shortly after I take them (a good boost of energy). My doctor recommended them in tandem with TRT therapy. My last B12 test showed my levels were above normal and she was happy, so I'm not sure I'm too worried about it.

Could be several causes. You just have to chase it down. For me, thyroid isn't producing enough calcitonin. So now I'm chasing calcitonin.
