    Thoughts on herbal based products

My days of buying shinny under dosed over the counter $60 test boosters are long gone but I still am curious if anyone has used any of the herbal ingredients listed in test boosters as a stand alone and gained any success off of it?

Here are three ingredients I have been reading up on
    -fadogia agrestis
    http://examine.com/supplements/Fadogia+agrestis/

    -bulbine natalensis
    http://examine.com/supplements/Bulbine+natalensis/

    Anacyclus pyrethrum
    http://examine.com/supplements/Anacyclus+pyrethrum/

They all seem to have promising studies, I'm curious if anyone else has any experience with them or can recommend any herbal ingredients associated with testosterone boosting effects?

Many on this board seem to favor DAA which I have tried once but it gave me GI issues so perhaps I will have to try it again.

    Thanks everyone!

over the years, i've invested in some cash to follow up on various natural and man made compounds. the marketing hype is always strong, and the science jouurnals always tell us it shows promising results on ameoba in a pitri dish.

then comes the disappointment between expectation and reality.

some of thse can be quite expensive.

i still have to say the best non steroidal is creatine, with a good diet and exercise routines. there are a few i still have my eye on, but by and large, this is a multi billion dollar market, preying on those that want to get in early on the next big thing....

I agree. I love supplementing, but there are only a few herbs (that I know of) that can actually make an impact. But generally the advised doses are garbage. Mega doses are often required for any notable effects.

interesting list though, pretty sure it was in their latest email. Might give some a try one day.

I'm slowly starting to realize this and what I speculate I do notice from them is most likely pure placebo.

I agree 100% on the marketing hype and science journals. It's funny, most of the time if you look at who has funded the research for a certain supplement it's usually the company who sells that supplement.

I agree with you on the mega dosing aspect, that tends to get a bit pricey for me. On top of that they say with certain herbal ingredients they can take a couple months for you to notice the effects which tends to become quite inconvenient.

I think what would honestly deliver the best results for me, more then any herbal ingredient or supplement, would be to start up a training log on the board so other members can chime in and offer advice on all aspects of my journey.
