    Question Supplement Q's

    1. Is there any difference between Creatine tablets and Creatine powder?
    2. Who of you use BCAA and any thoughts about it?
    3. What is you pick for the best quality Protein powder and is isolate much better no matter the brand?
    4. Do you think that Methylcobalamin B-12 in the drops better than the lozenges? ( I know about injectable).

What 3 brands of supplements do you think are just plain out garbage and you would advise to not use because you think it is just bunk crap? ...crazy mike

I don't use creatine or protein powder so I'll comment on the rest...

    2. No, because I take other aminos that benefit just as much. BCAA's are great though, before, during and after training.
    4. Drops or sublinguals should yield the same results. Drops would absorb faster. Sublingual tabs take a long time to melt/absorb.

Honestly, there is no difference between tablets and powder. Personal preference dictates that I use the powder as it is much easier to take and much cheaper.

I do not use BCAAs. I drink a protein shake before and after each workout and as I am sure you are aware, whey protein is a excellent source of BCAAs.

In terms of the best quality protein powder I really like ON Platinum. It is hydrolized whey and it is very expensive compared to regular whey. As good as it is, I don't buy it due to the cost. Instead I buy the Dymatize Whey isolate in 10 pound boxes. It's not quite as high quality, but it is still very good. I think isolate is better due to the fact that it mixes better with milk for my shakes.

As far as useless supplements, I think nitrous oxide supps, glutamine, and most preworkout supps are garbage.

What do you think BCAA's are?

    1. No difference in powder or tablets. The only difference between creatines I've seen is between regular mono and Creapure. Creapure doesn't seem to bloat me like a regular cheap mono does.

    2. You're probably gonna get a ton of different answers on BCAA's but I've never seen a significant difference during training to warrant a purchase.

    3. The 100% Gold Standard Whey Natural version has been the only protein I've used for about the past 2 years.

    4. I've tried NOW's version of the Methyl B-12 lozenges and they do seem to give you a temporary boost in energy ( 5-10 minutes ) but again, not worth a purchase imo.

    5. Any NO products that aren't Citrulline based, Beta Alanine ( To hell with the prickliness! ), Glutamine ( has this ever worked for anyone? )

I should be clear, since you seem confused. I don't use stand alone bcaa supplements. As an example Scivation Xtend.

    1) I dont take Creatine. I think I am sensitive to it. I get bloated and cramp up. Plus I think I get enough in my diet.

    2) I have used BCAA in the past. They seem to help keep energy up during workout. I don't use BCAA anymore as my diet is much better then it used to be. So I don't notice a difference anymore.

    3) I like the On Performance. It mixs easy and tastes good. I bought big tub at costco. It just sits and collects dust now. Like I said above my diet is much better now. No need for powder when I eat a lot more real good food.

    4) I prefer Cyan shots. Maybe its placebo, but after a 300 mcg in the morning before workout (I workout EOD) my energy is through the roof. I have used the Lozenges and didn't notice the same results.

    1. I changed to tablets because of bloat with the powder. That's why I ask
    2. I just started the BCAA and wanted input . Thx
    3. I had heard the isolate was better, so I wanted to check. I usually use the plain whey that all over the market. Thx
    4. When I switched from cyanocobalmin to Methylcobalamin B-12 it was like night and day better. I use lozenges so that's why I ask. Ty

I'm still looking for supplements that meet my budget and are the best I can get. Appreciate all the input .

Thanks to Austin he moved the thread for me to the proper place ...crazy mike

    1. The only diff between tablet and powder is the time released to ur system, ofcourse a powder version would be the fastest way!
    2. Many people think that Bcaa's are not important, when it actually is! Because bcaa as everyone knows are break down of protein, and studies have said that the most important between them r L-leucine cuz prevent ur muscle from catabolism! It actually acts better than protein alone when u are working out!
    3. Diff between proteins are also the time released, as isolate has the fastest absorption of all of them, and less fat if u trying to stay lean!
