87,3 ng/ml of vit D... should I keep going with 10000 iu a day or drop to 5000 iu?

Just had my blood work for vit d (25OH) and it says I reached 87,3 ng/ml. It's my first time I get this test done and I supplement 10000iu of vit d3 for approximately 3 months.

Should I then reduce the dose to 5000iu?

I would keep as is, especially over the winter where we lack sun. I have had numerous test over the years and the second I dropped dosage, my blood levels dropped right along with it.

I think I'll try to be off for 3 months then repeating the test and see at what level I'm down. I know the price of the Vit D test it's equal to 6 months vit D supply at my dosage but I prefer to have a blood work to know (what dosage I need/and if I need it) rather then popping pills that might not be needed.
