Favorite protein BLEND??
Been lurking for along time now. I dont see this talked about often so I wanted to ask everyone.
What is your favorite protein blend? I was buying True-mass by BSN because it has all the goodies I want, EXCEPT im trying to do without the carbs this time.

Muscle Pharm Combat powder is a 7 protein blend that tastes really good. Dymatize makes one called elite 7 I think is the name. Its pretty good as well

People here such as myself prefer to get our protein from chicken, beef, fish, etc. It fills you up more than a shake. Which is probably why you don't hear much talk about it. However, in a bulking situation when the thought of another piece of chicken makes you wanta gag or you're on the go and you don't have time for a meal, I prefer ON Pro Complex.

Its actually for a post workout shake/maybe a upon waking shake. Im not looking for a meal replacement. Hence the reason this is in the supplement section! But good to know I didnt know ON had something like that, I do use their whey protein though. Best bang for the buck I think.

Why do you think you need a shake for post workout/maybe a upon waking? Just curious. The pro complex is a good product. Iso-pure zero carb taste pretty good too if you're looking for a no carb approach.

Im usually not hungry for breakfast for an hour or so. I also like the idea of getting different proteins in my system asap. Ive also noticed I get just as hungry or hungrier when I drink a shake in the morning. I usually just do whey protein and throw raw oats in my shaker. I guess it could be a meal replacement but I eat as best I can, and im not a body builder. I guess some wouldnt agree to it but im not on most peoples level on this forum either.

But most importantly id rather have multiple forms of protein instead of just plain whey if Im going to use powders at all. I dont use any supplements except protein powder, i rarely even use pre work outs.
After further research... doesnt look like ON pro complex isn't a blend. All I see is whey. Im looking for micellar casein, egg proteins, etc...Last edited by incontrol7; 03-11-2014 at 12:11 AM.

Okay, but you don't need all that. It has ISOLATE & HYDROLYZED PROTEINS in it plus BCAA's and L-Glutamine. That's all you need. If you really wanted you could get Casein for before bed, but I'd prefer to eat meat and a diary product. It'll do the same thing plus fill you up which would help you sleep better.

Hmm I guess i should just eat more and not make the shakes a habit. And I guess I dont know that much about proteins or how they are made into powders but just from what I understood micellar casein, whey, and egg proteins were the best combination for getting a good release or proteins. But touche.

ok well add milk now its a blend lol .Imo protein is protein most supps and their claims are bull sh#t marketing scams if they weren't and they did what they claimed congress would be trying to ban them lol. I stick with whey and reg ole creatine mono I think most everything else is just a waste of money just my opinion though.

Liquid egg whites in a carton. I go through cases of the stuff bulking or cutting. I add peanut butter, fruit and oatmeal to add in carbs and fat. Blend, chug and grow!

For me its more about economics and buying the protein that gives me more bang for my buck.
I prefer real food sources but when I supplement I look for a whey isolate with high total protein content per scoop. Then price. Then flavor, I prefer vanilla.

Eggs and cottage cheese mixed, but if you have your heart set on it, I like Myofusion-the cookies and creme one

My go to protein is Optimum Nutrition Whey. I always avoid supplements with artificial sweeteners. Otherwise, I stick with a natural protein blend each day... It's the cheapest protein I've found on Amazon (~$56 for 5 lbs). Usually when I wait for it to be delivered, I'll visit a local shop for something different. Hemp protein was the last thing I got there, which has omega fatty acids, too.
Tuna and sardines from Sam's club. Chicken and turkey for lunch and dinner. I avoid ham altogether because of sodium and fat content. Beef to change up with chicken/turkey boredom.
