Stretch marks. How to get rid of them?

    Hi everyone

I have noticeable stretch marks under my armpits and they have never gone away probably because i have been consistently lifting for many years now.

I know stretch marks are normal for many bodybuilders/weightlifters however i would love to get rid of them or make it less visible.

Anyone know how to treat it?

    Thank you very much

    To your success.

    Mate,

This is a subject that does come up semi regularly. And in my opinion, there isn't really a good solution. There are some remedies that help somewhat. You can easily search for some of those, which usually contains cocoa butter, hydration, and some others.

But something came to me. I have no idea what color your skin is, but I think maybe the darker your skin, the less likely this will be a viable remedy to explore.

My idea runs something like this

While I lived overseas, I'd see these beauty commercials from India ALL the TIME.

Have you thought about whitening crème? The crème is designed to remove blemishes and lighten the color of skin. It's basically a skin bleaching agent (I believe) that utilizes either chlorine (seems doubtful) or maybe even peroxide. I'm not sure what the active ingredient is. But if one were to use a QTip swab, and very selectively apply to the scar tissue, I'm wondering if it's possible to fade the appearance of the mark?

I have not tried this, nor have I ever heard of anyone ever doing this. But it is an interesting thought, no?

    Hi Times Roman

You are right. This subject has come up and there are a lot of different solutions. I am more looking to see if anyone had any positive experience from a certain product. I do have cocoa butter and i drink proper water. Also I am Caucasian and my skin is white lol.

That is a very interesting idea. I have never thought of whitening cream. If something is designed to remove blemished it possibly could work? Me and you might have to put our heads together and make up our own formula lol.

Btw thank you for the reply and i assume you are a roman empire fan. I am myself.

Actually, I wanted a userID to protect my personal identity. Times Roman is only a font, and I randomly picked it years ago. And the image in my avatar in no way shape or form resembles me in the slightest.

So here's what we will do. You try it out. See if it works. You up front all the capital, you generate all the sales, and then we split the profit 70/30. 70 for me, and 30 for you.

I think most blokes here would agree that is extremely fair =)

Please mail me my 70% to:

    Good luck!

Its basically a futile endeavor. Unless you catch them early and take things slow to allow for skin to catch up, there is nothing you can do.

I have tried coca butter with very limited, to zero results.

The only thing that did show significant improvement was emu oil. It is however a little expensive.

Ultimately I gave up trying to cover them, Im not a fitness model, and I earned those stripes through hard training, so fuk it.

    Small price to pay IMO.

    Damn Straight!

Haven't seen any roving herds of Emu's lately. Maybe that's why the price is so high? =)

There are laser methods from a doctor that work with a few treatments but can run anywhere from $50-300$ per treatment depending on how much scarring there is. Also acid peal both of these will leave scabbing from the burn but will heal less visible each time.
