im planning on starting a bulking diet pretty soon, ive been working out for years but with poor diet and only taking whey protein. what are some other important supplements I need to be taking to gain mass? I plan on taking creatine, BCAA, glutamine, multivitamin. what else am I missing? what are the best times to be taking the supplements? ive heard about Dextrose. some say its not worth it some say it is, whats up with it?

Creatine (post workout) and casein protein (before bed) would be the other two I would recommend. BCAA is good to be mixing with your whey (post-workout). The rest you mentioned won't do much for mass gain.

I take BCAAs and glutamine during my workout. Creatine mono and protein shake post workout.

You can add as many other supplements as you want. Its really individual and mostly trial and error to see what works best for you.

I used to take ginko, green tea, HMB, multi vitamin, lysine, glucosamine, ALA, carnitine, Co-Q, but the pill load got to be annoying and bit much.

Now I mostly stick to powders as I almost choked on a Vit C pill that got stuck in my throat.

Also there is really no need to take dextrose, if you want it for the added calories, its better to just eat another meal.
