There was a time when I knew the answer to this. Now slightly embarrassed to admit I forget the answer to my own question.
Some background.
For about a year or so, I took L-arginine for a number of different reasons. However, at the dose I was taking (7 grams before bed, etc.) it always sat heavy in my stomach, and made me slightly nauseous. So eventually, I stopped taking it.
My son was yammering about a different version that may not have the same sides as described above. it was either the HCL or the AKG version. Damned if I can't remember, but he claims one or the other doesn't have that foul fishy after taste, nor the nauseous I mentioned. And since the AKG version is not as well understood, including safety, I'm hoping it is the HCL version.
I'm considering taking pre workout. Maybe run a trial of it for six months or so and see what happens. Plus it is supposed to aid in healing, and with some up coming minor procedures on the horizon, I thought I'd give it a try for that too.
So, I'm humbly asking the members for an opinion based on their knowledge and experience.
