    Supplement Advice for Girly :)

I don't take any vitamins or supplements but been reconsidering because I have been tired lately, sleeping long hours on the weekends. Last night I was down by 6pm and woke at 9 am. I get 6 hours during the week but much more on weekends.

Would supplements help? Which ones? B complex! Others? Appreciate your thoughts/suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Coconut oil, weather pill or natural form, has helped me with energy. Not to mention its other effects on metabolism, fighting off bad stuff in the body, helping your teeth(if swished for a period of up to 20min), skin, hair and many other uses. It's kind of an, all-in-one use.
You could Google all the benefits, since I cannot post links.

I also use cayanne pepper pills, they are also a good boost. Vitamin D³ is good to keep you going, if you don't get enough sun. Especially in these winter months. I usually take 5,000mg daily(one pill). The brand I use is, young life research.
Most are suspended in soybean oil(which I like to avoid). These are in olive oil.
I recommend to take the cayanne with a small bit of food, as it upsets your stomach otherwise.

I read that body absorbs liquid vitamins better then the pills. I do take fish oil but this really amazing multivitamin I haven't found. I asked my obgyn and he said any is better than none.

Ideally you should get more/better quality sleep. A nutritious diet would also help with energy levels. Not sure if any supplements are really going to make a dramatic difference like improving your sleep schedule would.

Thx K. I have been getting to bed earlier for the last 5 nites. Last nite I got nearly 8 hrs. I read there r 5 factors that impact weight. Diet. Exercise. Stress. Sleep. And I can't remember the last one??? Maybe water intake :/

That's good if you're looking for something to help with quality of sleep, try melatonin. I started using it recently and it's probably the best sleep supplement bar drugs I've used.

    You're welcome.
Also regarding the melatonin, I read that doses over 5mg aren't really as useful as smaller doses.
It recommended 1-3mg for the best sleep quality.

Another Supp for quality sleep and recovery I actually enjoyed taking was from a company called AI Sports Nutrition. It's called HGHpro.
Decent sleep product. Their other sleep product is good too.
Helped me feel more rested in the am.

Check your iron, it seems most women are low in iron and that can make you tired of course.

You might start by just trying a good multi vitamin, one a day and see if that helps. Dont go all out crazy on the vitamins, minerals and xyz like me. I have a cabinet full.

Most women would benefit most from some iron and B-12, since they're prone to anemia.

I have heard good things about a b complex called b50, supposed to be good for energy. My wife has a couple friends and co workers that swear by it.

Yes they could help. A solid multi vitamin mineral could help. ZMA-5HTP helps some with sleep and recovery,,,it could
be worth the try for you.

5 small meals a day with a solid workout routine can help.
    Supplements you could take:

    Fish Oil
    Multivitamin
    Vitamin D
