5-6 grams of beta alanine daily for increased performance?

I recently heard from someone that they increased their beta alanine consumption to 5-6 grams daily and experienced significant endurance and strength level increases. This would necessitate specific supplementation as most pre-workout products only have 1-2 grams per serving, so the rest could be added independently. Has anyone seen significant changes from using beta alanine (besides the tingling)? Thanks!

Haven't seen shit from beta, give it a go?

It supposedly buffers the lactic acid allowing you to continue to perform for a bit longer before the lactic acid system forces you to decrease intensity.

Not besides the tingling. More than 2 grams and I itch like a bitch. Not worth the spends, buy more chicken instead.

Agreed with the above statements as I actually gave it a good honest shot to see its effects as there's a descent deal of scientific data suggesting its validity.

I consumed about 1000 grams, and can truly say that it's not worth the money.

I did not notice any real improvement from a buffering standpoint.

The itching is an issue and can be worse with higher dosages.
