Melatonin
Say for example I slept for a long time last night and I won't be tired tonight at all because of how long I slept, would melatonin make me tired enough to fall asleep?
I slept until 2 pm today (14 hours)
I plan on being asleep by 11:30 tonight (lmfao yeah sounds unlikely)

Unlikely, ambien may be better suited for such a scenario. If a 3mg melatonin or benedryl were my alternatives on the shelf...unsure which I would choose, coin flip. Best of luck!

I think it depends on the person.
1mg melatonin knocks me out.

I split a 5mg in half so 2.5 gets me to sleep 90% of the time

I usually take a gravol or benadryl, melatonin might work.

I prefer kava kava and/or cannabis, two very useful plants. avoid script sleeping pills and sleeping pills in general. IMO
melatonin or Valerian root are also good options though

I answered my own question last night, it worked but I only got a few hours of sleep. Not a bad trade.

I've found taking Melatonin a bit earlier in the evening (think about the time the sun normally goes down) for the best results.

I take NowFoods , 3mg bout 30min-1h before bed does help sleep quality and tend to need less sleep, kinda boosts your sleep, also noticed increased recovery after brutal workouts etc deads/squats

melatonin doesnt seem to work very well for me, but cannabis cookies knock me out hard after an hr.

just took 1.5mg as a sleep booster for me, its 3:25am and i got to get up in 4 hours... for me personally this thing is a real helper

Everyone reacts differently to these things. Melatonin does absolutely nothing for me but some swear by it. Even so called very strong prescription tranquilizers don't affect me. I have to take 5 of them to feel anything so maybe I'm just a freak. At that level I am a zombie the next day though due to the side effects that benzos cause in the brain chemistry of patients. I just deal with the insomnia because the side effects aren't worth it. I'd say give melatonin a try. it's safe and inexpensive so if it doesn't work no big deal. if it does work for you then you're lucky and have a safe and effective resource.
