just 1 gram per lb of lean body mass is fine it don't half to be down to the gram
When you are trying to find out how much protein you should intake always use the mirror as a judge. Some people get fat off 1 gram per lean mass some don't gain muscle and need more. It is very dependent on your genetics, training and general lifestyle.
