    Liver support - getting confused

At one time I was taking NAC. Recently switched to tudca.

Do I need to take both?!?!

From all the reading/research I've done, NAC is the gold standard. Used for acetaminophen detox in overdose situations, acetaminophen being highly liver toxic, particularly when OD'd.

I use it as well. Liver function always stellar on quarterly labs.

NAC is more an anti-oxidant and is great in a year round arsenal. If you're running any type of cycle I'd recommend either TUDCA or UDCA as well. I'm scripted UDCA but TUDCA is available via Amazon.

What dosage do.you recommend for the TUDCA, Kel? Examine.com mentions a dosage of 15-20mg/ kg daily for improving bile salts composition, but 10-13mg daily has been shown to help the liver.

I only know of UDCA & TUDCA because of Kel, thanks big guy!

With that said, I'm a regular drinker. I am a little concerned about what I read about TUDCA and alcohol, because together they actually can cause worse liver damage (depends upon when you take the TUDCA relative to drinking). Just my .02, and of course this tidbit of information is useless if you don't drink alcohol.

I've dropped my ALT and AST with NAC & Tumeric.

I'm writted for 500 mgs UDCA per day. I'll break it in half and do 250 when on anything other than TRT.

So for year round use what type of dosage? I've been taking 600 mg AM/PM for a total of 1200 per day???
