Accutane and low libido
Hey guys,
Two years ago I came here and made a thread about having low libido / testosterone . I desperately tried to find answers to my problem to the point my doctor thought I was crazy. You can read up on it by viewing my past thread history in my profile.
I'm not sure how this came about, but I remember acne medication being brought up at some point a few years ago and just recently when I was visiting with family. I believe the drug I was on years ago to be the cause of my problems which I will go into detail about.
**LONG POST AHEAD**
I was on accutane in my remaining days as a high school student (I was 17/18 at the time) and while I don't remember the length of time or dosage I was on, I'd like to guess it was around 6 months of treatment.
During this time I developed constant dry chapped lips requiring the use of lip balm. I became lethargic, had a hard time getting up for work and was severely tired at all times. I lost interest in just about everything. My hair started to thin and its texture changed. I had constant nose bleeds that I could not explain. They were so bad they would happen as I was driving, requiring me to pull over with blood everywhere as if I just fled a crime scene.
While a majority of those things stopped after treatment, there was one side effect that got worse over time. My libido.
Before treatment I always had crazy erections, jacked off at least 3 times a day, random boners and always woke up hard as a rock. My erections would be so firm and strong and could last for minutes without going soft.
Once I stopped treatment all of those things just vanished like someone flipped a switch. Today, 15 years later since stopping treatment my problem is just as bad. No morning or night erections, can't even jack off on my own, no libido etc etc.
( side note - I can be intimate with someone and get aroused just fine usually but that doesn't always last. The desire and urge to WANT sex just isn't there, nor are my strong and firm erections)
I've read other threads here and articles on other sites about people having the same issue. Is there anything I can do to restore my sex drive and feel normal again? Are there any supplements that can help, or am I forever screwed in remembering what it's like to have a normal sex life?
I am not on any medications currently but will desperately try anything to help start my engines again. I've used cialis just fine and the effects it has on my erecfions are GREAT, but alas, the libido is gone.
Hoping someone can help!

Spironolactone is an anti androgen drug. Basically blocks testosterone and DHT.

I had bloodwork done and posted a thread about it a while back. Since I can't post links, if you look at my profile i only have one other thread created.
In there I post a few blood tests, mainly testosterone and it wasn't always in the best range.
Is accutane an anti-androgen drug like you mentioned? I'm desperately trying OTC supps to boost libido and get rid of premature ejaculation (I did take something once that helped but the FDA warns it's laced with cialis, which is fine by me lol).
It really bothers me that my "other half" is always asleep.
If you need more recent bloodwork, let me know what I should order. Since I'd be doing this on my own without a doctor or insurance, I'll need to go through a site that's relatively inexpensive.

Accutane is not an antiandrogen.
Any recent bloodwork? Have you tested your thyroid and DHT?
Are still taking Vit D?
What medication are you on? I've read about anti-depression meds, they are not good if you are trying to boost your libido.
Accutane can also have something to do with it, but nobody can tell you for sure. It is a harsh drug and I would not give it to any teen or young adult.
