Oral DHEA as cycle support

Okay, so obviously a lot has been said about DHEA,
and as a supplement in itself I understand it to be worthless, perhaps even straight up harmful due to its estrogenic nature (conversion).

But what about for those who's been on TRT for years and have shrunken nuts?
Even hcg won't bring my nuts back to full size.

What's the consensus on DHEA in this situation now?
I still see a lot say it only gives estrogenic sides.
But wouldn't that just be a mattter of more AI?

Better questions are what one hope to achieve with DHEA.
Well, I'm not taking it for performance enhancement.
But hoped it might be good for;
-that worn out feeling you can get on roids
-immune system boost
-emotional well being

-various barely noticeable functions but would together make you go; yes I do actually notice improvements, after maybe a few months of supplementing.

You should pull DHEA-S (not just serum DHEA) and see where your levels are at. Sulphated DHEA levels are more useful for evaluation since they are rather stable, unlike plain DHEA, which is subject to circadian variations.

If low on range, I'd consider supplementation.

DHEA has ambivalent androgenic/estrogenic nature to my understanding, AI wouldn't be helpful because of direct ER activation.

It's a powerful neurosteroid and can manipulate different neurotransmitters subsystem, it can be helpful for mood and cognition, and since levels decline with age, it can also be considered an anti-aging drug.

Personally, I can't touch the thing, it's extremely stimulating, though I get major mood benefits from it, especially if used in combination with pregnenolone.

How do You know all this shit Bizzaro?

I acquired some general knowledge when first dealing with my own endo issues back in 2014. I didn't even knew how to interpret a CBC, yet had no intention to let anyone else tend to my health, I take care of my own shit... so duh, I just upped my game.

I've heard this before about testing for DHEA-S.
probably not going to happen as that would mean going to my endo for BW for a thing I'll just play by ear I suppose.

I see DHEA s the precursor for non-aromatisation path estrogen. At reduced calories (we call it cutting cycle) it causes an estrogen bump to protect the muscles. Theoretically this is how humans can go months without food and not die due to wastage. If all things were even the heart would muscularly degrade far before that point, It is the "Living on adrenaline for months" path.

Seeing how diet is the primary focus for BBs it sounds like a match made in hell. The good thing is the estrogen bump is minimal and current AI dosage should handle it easily. The path to estrogen has a miniscule binding affinity.

To answer your question... Yes..it is used as an anti-depresant drug. There is a very good chance the well being feeling can increase and the wore out feeling can be taken away. Long term use in labs show almost zero issues with the substance.

In conclusion most pro-hormone offerings are not DHEA but rather metabolites of DHEA. DHEA is a patented drug. 7-keto is not DHEA but a metabolite. PRASTERONE is DHEA.

Interesting.
What I got was DHEA, I've seen the 7-Keto form too.
But over here both DHEA and 7-Keto DHEA and all cousins would fall in under the law against AAS, so none are sold here and DHEA is almost unheard of.

Now i got a package I ordered as I was curious,
and haven't been able to use hcg regularly lately,
so I was hoping that DHEA would replace hcg in some ways.
(Not as a fertility drug or nothing, and I'll require TRT for life,
so hcg is something I use simply to feel better)

So my thoughts were that without hcg my body would perhaps start to need DHEA. Not sure if that thinking is flawed.
Don't know if the adrenals make as much DHEA as the testes.

From what you say though, it seems like it can have its uses.

That's actually where most of endogenous output comes from. It's mostly an adrenal hormone.

Gonads only account minimally for circulating levels.

Am I missing something ?
You don't take it because its over stimulating and make's you anxious ?
I have never heard of a sense of well being increase taking DHEA..

I don't take it because I don't fancy the oral route, it's going to be picked up by the liver and metabolized into other compounds.

DHEA can do everything depending on individual and current endocrine balance, I've found it to help when low in E2.

Yes, to me it's more powerful than T3, even.

I found when I was on 1dhea I was in a generally better mood overall, so I can see that being accurate

I have been doing this for 20+ years and EVERY time I have supplemented with DHEA it has given my gyno symptoms. Puffy, sore, itchy nipples. I'm not even gyno prone with the strongest of anabolics and yet DHEA gives me issues. I personally wont use it again.

I've heard of symptoms such as sensitivity, but never development. Interesting though!
