Musc&Fit announces IGF-1 Powder Supplement
Muscle and Fitness (who are they?) has an article (not an advertisement) declaring that a company has created a powdered IGF-1 that can be ingested orally. This annoyed meuntil I decided that the mechanism they are explaining causes this to happen isn't supported by what I learned in A&P 2. They say that it is so MICRONIZED that it can be absorbed with water rather than digested like solids. Bullshit right?

A revolutionary discovery for all athletes has arrived with the introduction of Hi-Tech's launch of Pro-IGF-1™. The breakthrough product's successful extraction of IGF-1 production of Insulin -like growth factor type 1 (IGF-1) from whey protein offers a tremendous value to the medical and biotechnology fields. Since isolation from natural sources has proven to be technically difficult, expensive, and time consuming, recent efforts by Hi-Tech have centered on the development of efficient extraction methods from whey peptides for the production of IGF-1.
Just like its better-known relative, human growth hormone (HGH), insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) are believed to make an athlete bigger, stronger, and faster. Findings suggest it may improve endurance and reduce fat as well. With so many advantages to athletes at all levels who rely on greater strength and performance, Pro-IGF-1 offers the precise formulation to enable the most demanding of athletes to excel through all stages of physical activity.
Produced naturally in the liver and involved in the body's growth and development, IGF-1 is needed for growth hormone to have its effects on muscles and other tissues. The most important factor to consider is IGF-1's ability to achieve hyperplasia. Performance-enhancing drugs will help the body through hypertrophy, which means you are increasing the size of the existing muscle cells. IGF-1 however, will cause hyperplasia, which means you are actually increasing the number of cells in the muscle tissue. These new cells can be utilized through additional training, and use of Hi-Tech patented DHEA compounds, to make even greater muscle gains.
Unlike growth hormone, studies suggest that IGF-1 is stable and can be absorbed in the GI tract by neonates. Hi-Tech's proprietary in-house Liposomal Delivery (LD) system is an applied coating that allows IGF-1 to readily dissolve in liquids and ensures the IGF-1 will bypass digestion; will be transported through the bowel wall; will circulate throughout the body; will reach the organs and cells; and remain bioavailable at the cellular level. This method of delivery makes IGF-1 up to 1,500% more bioavailable.
A "must-have" for bodybuilders, athletes, and all fitness-oriented individuals, Pro-IGF-1 takes strength, performance, and growth to the next level. Due to its unique combination of growth factors, Pro-IGF-1 is also ideal for those with health conditions, and those who want to lose weight. This revolutionary product's ability to increase strength and muscle tone, build and sustain healthy bones and joints, increase stamina, increase flexibility, improve recovery and healing, decrease muscle and joint pain due to every day exertion, and provide general anabolic improvements has made it a staple in many successful athletes' regimen.

I'd like to see someone use it and blood work to back it up. I call BS on this one.

I found out that infants can directly absorb IGF-1 through mothers milk. I had no idea that they could. I tried to find studies on supplemental ifg-1 and most I what I found was it being given to infants in the medical setting. So it appears it's plausible, however the company didn't have any links to scientific data to support their claims.
Here's another interesting study with Igf and vit D

Just don't take Oral IGF-1!!! if they are lying (No IGF-1 in there) then it's bad... But if does contain IGF-1 Then it's a disaster!!!!
Studies shows that IGF-1 When taken orally will give you twice gut as muscle!!! 1Kg Muscle gained and 2Kg intestines gain! the study was done on rats, nothing on humains yet!
