Creatine has nothing whatsoever about losing fat

If you're on an extreme caloric deficit and your question is related to staving off muscle waste, creatine will do no such thing. It may help if your fat-loss goal is very long term, with a minor caloric deficit.
To confirm, like couchlockd said, creatine is not a compound that directly impacts fat cells.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

To echo what everyone has said there is no direct lypolytic (science word for fat loss) property to Creatine. However it does still have a lot of benefit in reducing body fat indirectly. Checkout this article it explains what I mean in detail.
Creatine is the single best sport supplement for building muscle and is extremely safe. The article is a little overly cautious about potential side effect but other than that it’s spot on.

Creatine in my experience will give more of a bulky look so you may not want to use it for fat loss.

What they said.
Also with first hand experience i just did for the first time in my life a creatine cycle. I gained 9 pounds. Obviously water weight but still not ideal if you are in love with the scale. Also most people trying to cut fat are sucking down, maybe dehydrated or doing more cardio.
You have goottttttttttttttt toooooo drink more water while on creatine. Absolute must.

The only physiologically way that is significant enough to effect fat loss from creatine is an increased metabolism due to an increase in muscle mass resulting from supplementation of creatine.
With that said, creatine in and of itself will not burn fat.
With fat loss, caffeine and synephrine are your friends. Stimulants directly raise your metabolism - along with affecting many other bodily processes.
Really, a clean diet and a regular cardio routine should be prioritized over supplements.
