That would be total protein intake, not BCAA intake. However, if your protein intake is that high. You would be getting in more than enough BCAA’s in.

Save your money, if you have a good whey protein and have other protein sources like red meat, chicken and fish. You don’t need to supplement BCAA’s.

    That's a pretty good answer.

I do not buy bcaa, I prefer to spend my money buying red meat, chicken and so on ... But I'm doing this topic because I see many bodybuilders consuming absurd amounts of bcaa supplements in the cut phase ..

I think the cut phase over consumption is hoping to keep glycogen in muscles while going in a deficit to reduce overall body fat and water from carbs.

I could be wrong, but I've read this some time ago on this forum.

    I see,

It’s important to point out that BCAA’s stands for Branch Chain Amino Acids. which is not a whole protein but rather a part of a amino acid complement that makes up a whole protein. Valine, leucine and iso-leucine Are the three BcAA’s That are part of the nine essential amino acids. Essential amino acids cannot be made up by the body that is why they are required in ones diet. That is why BCAA’s are so important in a bodybuilding diet as they help replenish those lost due to heavy training.

Supplementation of BCAA’s is typically in the 5-10gr range 2-3 times a day. Mixed in with a pre workout or part of a whey protein shake. A lot of whey protein makers will add additional amounts of BCAA’s it “enhance,” the complement of them.

That is why I think with a whey protein and a good spectrum of different protein sources that I mentioned above. Buying BCAA’s is probably reduntend if your already taking in a whey protein shake.

Having said all that, there is good evidence to suggest that taking BCAA’s alone during a workout helps aid in recovery and protein synthesis. So they are not worthless to buy and ingest. The alternative would be to buy BCAA’s and supplement with them solely and drop buying whey protein shakes if your getting in enough protein already from Whole Foods. That in fact I could see as being a financially smart idea. But of money is not and option, doing both is fine.

And I apologize for all the grammatical errors. I can’t sleep and am writing to help me fall back to sleep...lol

I buy bcaa but also I buy red meat, chicken and so on, fish ... But I do this theme
    dem
since I see a lot of bodybuilders who popularize the purchase of bcaa and replace them with regular food and I think it's not right

I use 10 grams of BCAA per day, I use 5 grams of BCAA 30 minutes before aerobic fasting when I wake up in the morning and another 5 grams after the workout. I see many people saying that this is not necessary, but for me I think it is. The BCAA is an anti-catabolism, repairs the muscle, causing it to recover more quickly. Bodybuilders bet more on drugs than BCAAs in the slimming phase of the cut. They can even use the BCAA plus they do not overuse. They use around 10 grams per day.

I do use BCAA's but not as a replacement for anything. If your using a high quality protein powder you will consume plenty of BCAA's already. I still use whey isolate and feel money is better spent with real foods like beef, chicken, eggs.

I take 5g BCAAs in my intra workout water sometimes 5g post workout and I feel like it's money well spent. I catch the higher end stuff when it's on sale and if not I buy the basic unflavoured powder form that is cheap enough you can't play the save your money on food argument because a 30day supply costs the same as a couple chicken breasts!

Depending on the person it can be a good tool to help with sugar cravings. Most taste like juice.

I only use Biosteel - no artificial sweeteners or food colors. If you compare the colouring to a lot of supplements, it's the exact same ingredient used in paint - no thanks. Biosteel uses foods like turmeric for colouring.
