Highest quality fish oil supplement?
I found a few that were rated high online and then I read reviews that they changed their formula and are now crap. Bait and switch?
Are there any scientifically proven to be good/fda approved fish oil supplements out there? Running low on my Vitaminshoppe brand.

Instead of looking at reviews (waste of time),
-learn how fish oil interacts with the body
- What oxidation and degradation is with respect to fish oil
- IVO / IFOS certification
- Manufacturing process
- Third party testing
Then you will be know how to shop for fish oil (and all supplements by extension). If you can't do that, then stop buying supplements because you are wasting your money being uneducated.
Salmon or any fish really 2-3x per week. Problem solved.Last edited by Windex; 11-12-2019 at 08:53 AM.

I know about oxidation of fish oil, I have read research on it. Third party testing is cool, but that is exactly where I found inconsistencies. They are 3-4 year old studies and then when you read the comment section on Amazon, you see they changed the formula recently and can’t trust the studies any longer.
I figured someone has done the research and came to a conclusion instead of me having to reinvent the wheel. I’d rather do my research on 2-3 brands than 20-30.

If you understood fish oil oxidation you wouldn't be shopping on Amazon. You shouldn't be buying fish oil from Amazon or VitaminShoppe to begin with.
Third party testing has nothing to do with amazon reviews
I use Whole Earth and Sea multivitamin. I can email them with the the batch number of my multivitamin and in 2 weeks I get emailed back from the third party an analysis composition report, as well as impurities report, and heavy metal toxicity report.Last edited by Windex; 11-12-2019 at 01:23 PM.

Eat lots of fish!
I have taken fish oil on and off for many years with no noticeable difference - besides the evolution of the fish oil capsule. Though you can do your own research through Canada drugs direct website to find out what works for you.Last edited by almostgone; 08-03-2020 at 11:34 PM. Reason: Removed hyperlink

We must first find out what we use fish oil for and how it can benefit us.
It is also necessary to use it in pill form, or look for an alternative in conventional products.
I think the best solution to this problem is to see your doctor. He will be able to pick up supplements for you,
and will tell with what it is better to combine
