3 Weight gainer supplements ranked - any suggestions as what to try next?

Bought 3 types of weight gain supplements ---- here’s my evaluation opinion.

    I use the following criteria
    Price per quality ingredients

Quality ingredients = Proteins and Complex carbs

    Ranking –
    ***** 5 star (dbol stars – lol) – highest
    **** 4 Star
    *** 3 star – average
    ** 2 star –
    * 1 star - Poor
~ Deca Dick rating– very bad.

To have a common denominator – I assigned 150g of product to be 1 serving size

    So, here we go:

All 3 have the same amount of other carbs (about 42% - 43%)

    They differ:

Champion Nutrition Heavy Weight Gainer 900 (Chocolate) 7lb - $27.50
    Protein: 34g
    Sugars: 41g
    Fat: 9.5g
    Calories: 627
Don’t like the taste (it has beef protein that doesn’t dissolve easily – I cannot stand the taste of it)
% of good stuff (protein and other carbs) = 69%
You pay 1.37c per gram of good stuff
Therefore gets an ok (3 stars) rating out of the three products
    ***

    ProLab N-Large 10 lb - $38.00
    Protein: 51g
    Sugars: 28g
    Fat: 6g
    Calories: 612
% of good stuff (protein and other carbs) = 80%
You pay 1.1c per gram of good stuff
    Tastes OK
Therefore gets the highest (4 stars) rating of the three products
    ****

    TwinLab Gainers Fuel 2500 9 lb - $31.00
    Protein: 14g
    Sugars: 66g
    Fat: .25g
    Calories: 565
% of good stuff (protein and other carbs) = 57.5%
You pay 1.47c per gram of good stuff
Tastes really good (what do you expect if a half of the 9lb container is just pure sugar)
That also explains why I couldn’t find the nutritional contents for this product on the internet …… oh, well, I’ll use it as an addition to the other stuff.
Therefore gets the lowest (Deca Dick) rating of the three products.

Any suggestions as to what I should try next?

This thread is missing most of the INFORMATION I look for when buying weight gainer.
    HOW MANY CALORIES PER SERVING
    HOW MANY SERVINGS PER TUB.
HOW MANY SCOOPS = ONE SERVING
    BECAUSE:
championship weight gainer 900 has only 600 calories per serving if I remember correctly. Kind of misleading. Then you need to determine how many scoops equals a serving. Some of these you need like FOUR scoops for one serving. So some 7lb -10lb tubs only have 10 servings per tub while others have 20 or more

You need to re evaluate. Championship 900 is the product that requires the least amount of scoops per serving and has the most amount of calories per serving. Id rather have 2 scoops and get the same amount of calories than 4-5 scoops.

I could go on with the max 2500. That shit has a shovel for a scoop and you need like 5 scoops per serving. And it still isnt 2500 cals.

As far as it not disolving. Its hard to disolve a lot of things without blending. Or if it is just in water.
As far as taste. Its hard to cover the taste of the chocolate products. I just started buying vanilla products and put strawberries or bananas or mint and chip ice cream in with it. NO MORE BAD FLAVOR.
    Thats all.
Good thread if it is re done with better and more info.
I never had the time to compare those 2500 3000 max buckets.

    ..............
That's the key.... That's the reason I evaluated on per gram basis vs. what they claim to be a "serving" - this way we compare apples to apples.

I use 150g of product as a "serving" which is approximately 4 normal scoops. (which is very close to what an average serving is 140 to 160 gr)

I took out "crap" calories from fat and sugars and evaluated the "good stuff" (proteins and complex carbs) against the money you spent.

(I edited the original post for better illustration - added fat contents per 150g serving - I also added the calories per 150g serving)

Indeed the gainer 900 will give you more calories per same serving because it has almost 10 gr of fat and 41 gr of sugar. (compare to
n large 6gr of fat and 28 gr of sugars) But n large gives you more quality calories from 51 g of protein and 42 gf of complex carbs)

I should've made it more clear what I was doing - the key is to evaluate based on what you are getting for your money, and not being misled by their marketing tricks like serving size, 2.6 lb, 10 lb, etc.

Keep in mind they make all these various thigs on purpose - so, it would be confusing to actually evaluate their marketing claims. For example, this weight gainer 2500 claims 2500 per serving with no fat = sounds good, till you evaluate through this system === you can see it's a peice of shit.

Let me know if that clears it up.....

Very good one - but too pricy gets (4 stars) rating

Even though it has a bit more fat and pricy - it's the best quality so far.
