    Exclamation Aleve?

    My friend have read some where that by taking aleve before workout you can stimulate your vascular system and their off getting more blood into your muscles...have anyone herd anything like that?

    Aleve works by dilating blood vessils. It's mainly very small vessils that it works on and it can also raise your blood preasure. I don't think the benefit is quite enough to risk your health for.

    Where did you get that info from? The blood pressure increase seen in NSAID use are attributable to their effect on renal cyclooxegenase receptors. Its also been theorized that the increase in blood pressure may be due to their effect on prostacyclin as well. But vasodilation?

    It's a type of rebound effect. It doesn't dilate the larger arteries, ventricals, etc. The kidneys sense an inbalance and cause the heart to pump harder to make up for it, therefore the BP increases and/or the heart rate increases.
