Is is safe? pure whey from direct manufacturer?

Guys a buddy of mine knows a manufacturer of pure whey powder from the usa . Apparently this guy supplies his whey to pharmaceutical companies who use them for baby powedered milk. I was wondering if this is the same whey the supplement manufacturers use and if its safe to consume.

I couldnt obtain the nutritional values since it comes in 50 lb sacks. all i know is it is 12% protein, 82.1% lactose and .55% fat 6%ash. I dont know what the ash is but i hope its not ash as in dirt. And itts cheap to costs only $20 bucks.

There's something seriously wrong at that price.

You don't want this. Only 12% of the 50lb bag is protein.

i would be wary of it....anything that cheap cannot be of high quality. the thing about the whey's available is that they are ultra filtered and arent heated to ensure that there is a good amount of protein in them. my isolate is 90% protein, which makes the 12% you're talking about too small. i wouldnt chance it.
