Im a believer in cardio AFTER. Why get spent on cardio before lifting?? You need the energy stores to lift. Not only that ,you can more effectively start burning brown fat almost immediatley. Im sure others may differ & thats fine too.... my 2cents
I do cardio first on leg day cuz I know I won't be able to afterwards...lol
i skip cardio on leg day... the only cardio i get is a slow crawl to the carOriginally Posted by jbigdog69

The downside to cardio after is that you wont get your protein in as quickly, but since you just lifted your glycogen store will be lower, meaning that you can afford to do cardio for a shorter period of time. Maybe 30 mins then have you whey and dex premixed and just add water at the gym. This is of course only you cant do it in the morning
thanks ttuprincess.
before i got a treadmill i did my cardio after and kept my pwo shake in a cooler in my car pre-mixed
That was a great read about cardio before lifting. I have tried both methods and havent felt or seen a difference. What works best for me is not to get in a set routine for cardio as far as time of day, on empty/full stomach and type of cardio exercise. I do stick to the same time period and get my heart rate to the same levels. I have noticed a minor difference since adapting this method about 2 years ago. I am probably wrong but I feel that this method helps my metabolism reep better benefits of the cardio.
