cant say i have done it but i definately have heard of doing that. the article i read said it is really anabolic.
also kinda falls into the catagory of purposely over training before some time off
an upward pyramid and drop sets have kicked the S out of my chest and got me 15 pounds stronger in 2 weeks.
I've hit my chest twice in the same day, rested for 4 days afterward (complete rest) and the next week my bench had increased.

Do your negatives, man. Do them right and you won't need the second day.
Are you sore from the 1st chest work out? If so then no do not do them. But either way if you do make sure you perform completly different exercises to hit the angles.
There are more advantageous ways to "shock" your chest than working it two consecutive days.
