    what's a good way to train your obliques?

    You could use side bends with light weight higher rep range but that CAN add some mass. Therfore if you have fat around the love handles it will onlt make your waistline bigger maybe something you wish to avoid. So best do twisting with a stick. Also many compound movements indirectly incorporate them too.

    the twists, look up russin twists,bc i dont thinki could explain them..lol

    Compound movements involve multi-joint & muscle groups like Dead lifts, squats both romanian & sumo as examples

    YEEEEEESSSSSS THE RUSSIAN TWIST-- IN CADENCE!!!!!!!!!!! You sit on the ground legs bent at 90degrees feet off the ground. Torso off the ground in a sitting up position with hands in front, fingers locked. You twist your torso to the left and legs to the right at the same time, then twist each the other way. We do them for PT alot. Those and flutter kicks/leg spreaders. Which suck ass.

    Russian Twists are great. Never knew that was their real name though. They work great and don't add extreme amounts of mass like side bends do with useing weights.
