had the exact same problem. after about 5-6 months of steady progress in my chest, i got stuck at 315. Than i went 4.5 months with out getting not even 5 pounds stronger. i dont really have advice for you. i got all the advice in the world and tried everything but it didnt work. a week or 2 off is the answer. and you need to realize like i did that your body cant be in a growth phase every single week of the year. i kept at it, and after 4.5 ultra stubborn and mentally challenging months keeping discipline, i finally got into a growthphase in my chest again. Time is the only answer to increasing bench.
If there was one simple answer it would be tri's, tri's, tri's that's where all your power comes from on the bench IMO. Go heavy 3 sets: 1 set of 8reps and 2 sets of 6 reps.
contrary to 1victor i believe that back has alot to do with it, kinda that push/pull mechanic. i hurt pec/tri and only did back and legs. when my chest was better my bench went up 10lbs. i also found this summer after doing incline bench hard and strong for 12 weeks, my bench proir to that was 300 and after that i got 315 for 2 reps
I agree Jantzen but if you had to pick 1 group what would it be?
