    need help

    I have a bench competion in 8 months. Its not the normal 1RM. It is how many times you can do your body wieght. What kind of bench program should I do. How many times should I train my chest a week and how many sets and reps should I do. And when should I start training

    how much do you weigh? what is your max bench? what is your training/cycle experience?

    Nothing beats the Principle of Specificity. I would train with your bodyweight.

    I agree. If your going to be benching your bodyweight, do a few warm up sets, then stick to 200lbs. and try to go up in reps everyweek. For your last set go as heavy as you can to really shock the muscle
