I have heard of it, but have not followed their program to this point. Sense most of the folks on this board are bodybuilders and not powerlifters, I don't know that many here will have followed a westside program.

I hear it's intense and hard, but has proven to get fantastic results. If you are starting it, good luck and keep us posted on your progress as I'd beein interested in following one cycle myself.

I just started it and did my first maximum effort squat workout yesterday. Damn that workout killed my back, I have never ever been this sore in my lower back before, it feels great.

Cane if you are interested to read more about it go to this page, it has LOTS of articles about it.

These are some awesome links brother, I urge everyone to check them out.

One that intrigued me the most was the one called "The Tate Presses" never seen these :

    http://www.geocities.com/johntroxel71/tate.html

Anyone out there ever try these?

As for Deepsquatter, I know Deep, he's a friend of mine (His name is Jason Burnell, and I know him from his posting days at misc.fitness.weights), he's one of the best powerlifters in the state of California, good guy.

Gear using chains and rubber bands is a powerlifting technique. When you lift with chains or bands, you create more resistance the higher you lift the weight, in a way adding weight as you go up. Its very common in training by powerlifters.

Floor presses again are a powerlifter training technique. If you haven't tried them, it's harder than lifting off a bench because you can't use your legs at all, it's your arms and nothing else.
