are lifting straps a new steroid i'm unaware of?
lol oops wrong place
This is the wrong place but I will add my comments.
I don't use straps anymore, they take away fom your natural forearm strength. I'm a butcher and I move pork loins and whole beef chucks all day long. I could tell a huge difference from a few years ago when I used wrist straps and now. Before I used straps to shrug the 130 lb dumbells because my grip gave out before my traps did. Now 2 years later I haven't used straps and I shrug the 160 lb dumbells and can hold them for awile even after my traps fail. Trust me bro your forearms need the attention.
Prowristwraps.com has the best ones you can buy. Their service is also top notch! I have the kevlar motivators with the padding and all the bells and whistles...take a look at them.
Burn your lifting straps. Your forearm strength will thank you for it.
you can follow up this thread with a new one entitled, "who makes the best shaker?"......Originally Posted by inevitable

As for which ones are the best, that's up to you. My favorites are the plain old simple canvas wraps. You need to replace them about once a year though because they deteioriate. But they are only like $7 or less. Unlike those **** Harbinger wrist wrap gloves that I buy 4 sets of every year that cost $20 to $30 everytime.
id use em last set only

Personally I believe you are better off strengthening your grip rather than resort to using straps or any other lifting aid. Grip/forearms respond quickly to training and will remedy most people's problems in less than a month or two.
