i am having a problem doing biceps the day after shoulders... for some reason my bi's get bad sore after a shoulder workout. i guess b/c i do traps with shoulders and go heavy. i can't even work bi's and tri's today b/c i'm to sore.. what do i do?

What does your workout routine look like cuurently and i'll see if i can rearrange it a little. Such as what muscle group on what days...Consider yourself lucky though. My biceps are hard to get sore.
yea my biceps usually never get sore! i dont understand it.
but right now i am experimenting with a rather wierd split.
day 1. Chest/Back( i know this is not recommended
day2. off
day3 off
day4shoulders
day5 bi'tri
day6 legs
day7 off
Using what you posted why don't you try this...
day1 Chest/Back
day2 off
day3 shoulders
day4 off
day5 legs
day6 bis/tris
day7 off
Or something similar...and also i do not recommend doing chest and back on the same day. Those muscles are too large to be worked together IMO, especially back...
Are you doing Upright Rows, as they could be the culprit~
yea i do upright rows, but try my best to not use much bicep
You are getting elbow flexion under load while doing them. You are basically curling in a different plane. Leave them out for a week and see if your bi's are sore, I doubt if they will be.Originally Posted by getbig888
