try it... every fourth or fifth workout, shock you body and do a few reps at heavier weight.
cool, thanks dude. btw, people don't do this every leg day? if u only do this once every 4 or 5 workouts or whatever, what do some regular good leg day workouts look like? i do what my buddy does, and he said he does sets like this of squatting 8,8,8,8,6,4,2. then leg press, or leg extentions, or whatever else you want to do.
np... just make sure you eat well and get lots of rest... do this and they will grow. p.s. you probably should work out too!lol :lol:Quote:

He said 20+ SETS, not reps. :)Quote:

Honestly, I was doing workouts like this for a while, adn I noticed that I was not recovering well enough even doing it only once a week. My legs began to shrink some, adn my squat strength dropped quite a bit, so I switched to more like 10 or so sets for quads, and 4-5 for hams, and my strength is going back up.Quote:

20 sets = over kills and muscles will regress :( IMO
i know a guy who does like 50+ reps on all his leg shyt and yes he has some massive legs like 30-32's when he is around 6% for comp but i just cant pic it working for normal people..
Did you read it in a BB magazine? If so, its probably crap. Or maybe it works for them, but it wont work for someone who is not on that pro level most of the time.Quote:

I wouldn't say that these kinds of crazy high reps would work EVERY workout, no, but once in a while to really kick yourself in the (__!__), yes.

what does your regular workout look like?
heavy ass 20 repper widow maker dc set is the toughest thing i have ever put my body through in the the weight room
tryin the sc workout for the 1st time....should i start at a weight i KNOW i could do....or a weight that i think i might be able to do...?
20reps every once and awhile is okay. But for me anything more than 8reps is piointless, I trying to build up my legs. Slow twitch muscle fibers build mass, heavy weight is better
Ive done 32+ sets on leg day.
This is 16 for quads and 16 for hams.
Like SC said... your cortisol levels will raise. But if done in a timely manner(and ya dont pass out) it can be fitting.
of topic sc workout
what is the 3/2 tempo someone explain please not really understanding it :)
thank u
It should be noted that my 20 rep routine is totally different. It's not one all out set, not even close. There are other pre-exhaustion principles as well included.Quote:

the higher rep range is the only thing that got my legs starting to grow
