traning legs
i currently train my legs twice a week on wednesday and saturday. i have read where some people only train them once a week. i was just wondering if its better to do it once or twice a week. i'd be glad to hear some respones, thanks.

I do them once every 5-6 days, but I make sure I kill myself. Like Diesel, I can't walk right and even cardio is tough to do. I guess it depends on what you do.

I train my legs twice a week A Max. effort day and a Dynamic or (speed) day . Try box squating it's great for athletes wiil help you on the feild www.elitefts.com will give you all the info you need, check out articles by Louie simmons and Dave Tate on the box squat.

i kill my legs that on saturday+sunday i am in so much pain that i cant even diet,so i cheat and restore my sugar levels

There's no way in hell I could train legs twice a week, I limp around for like 4 days after squats. If you can muster twice a week you might not be going heavy enough. Remember you're pretty much always using your legs so they get lots of work, so IMO you should only thrash your legs once a week.

I train legs once a week for the simple reason I can hardly walk for a few days after

What kind of excersise do you guys do for legs. What works the best. And one other thing trainng legs 2 times in same weeks that not over trainning.

I train my legs twice a week, but I split them into quads one day and hamstrings on another. I do calves on a completely different day also.

I do squats first, 1 set-10 reps, 2nd set-8 reps, 3rd-4 to 6 reps. Then I move on to the leg press, 3 sets 8-12 reps. Last I either do stiff leg deadlifts, or leg extension.

I only train my legs once every 5 to 6 days,since i usually do a fair amount for legs i like to give them time to recover. I wouldnt advise twice a week if your training legs to the max(Quads,hams,calves). Split it up if you want,where one day you do Quads and Calves,and another day where you'd do just hamstrings.

Ok here's an idea a few of us had in the gym as few year's bad. We dedicate Sunday from 12 noon onwards for legs. And if you show up you'd better be ready to go 'HARD fcuking, balls out CORE'. And thats it for the week, try suggesting it to the guys in YOUR gym sometime and see how it goes.
Pump up the volume and get it rock'n..

I do legs 1 time a week on Tuesday. Here's my workout.
Squats- Warmup then sets of 10-8-6-4
Leg curls- 12-10-8
Leg ext- 12-10-8
Seated calve raises 15-12-10
Standing calve raises 15-12-10

I do 'em every 3-4 days, splittin' them into Ham and Quads.

Folks
I do my legs once a week for about an hour and a half at a time. I thought this was enough. But listening to you guys, I reckon I'm not pushing my pins hard engough. What do you guys on the "once-a-week, balls-to-the-wall" routine put on the squat rack/ smith machine to achieve total failiure, and I guess you have a spotter to see you though, right?
Hopless, I know, but I squat about 60kgs - a dodgey kness joint buckles with much more than this.
I think I'll rename myself "chicken legs"!
