i usually rest as long as is needed to recuperate for my next set. that can be as long as 3 minutes at the begining of my workout when i am on the heavy compound movements.

i always rest the same. when i am doing my resistance training, cutting or bulking, i am doing it to build or at least maintain size. i leave the leaning out to the cardio i will do after i finish lifting.

I rest anywhere from 30 secs to 1 1/2 mins depending on how I feel and what exercise I am doing. Usually longer for compound movements and shorter for isolation.

I'm usually around 3 min. Although during heavy benching it can move up to 4 min. I dont do a "number" of reps, I lift till failure so I need that rest so I can hit the next set hard.

I usually rest for about 1-2min but if i'm shifting stupid weights when dead lifting and doing legs I take as long as I need.
