yes.. its very important to take a week off to recup. I usually take a week or two off every 12 weeks of training.
agreed..Quote:

Me too, But does anyone else every feel they are getting weaker by the second if they havent lifted in like 3 days? I do and it bothers me, but i was wondering if anybody else was the same?
I used to get that..just make sure to still take in plenty of carbs and protein and you shouldn't lose much..I have skipped bench for 2 weeks and then im stronger...and used to I would miss a day and lose 10 lbsQuote:

yeah I usually take 1 or 2 full weeks off every 16-20 weeks of training, just depending on how my body feels.
I would have to agree with the others. Our minds may be telling us we are getting weaker during our off-time but our body will actually come back stronger, in the long run, with the time off. I read in the NSCA text that it actually takes 1 month off to lose your strength gains. Not sure about muscle gains but I think its actually longer.
When I go on my breaks I see the best gains. I agree w/everyone else.
