Your Take On Training To Failure..??
So what do you guys think about training to failure?
I normally always train to failure, I normally do a warm up set, then a light to medium set and then i grab a weight i can do lets say 8 times do it... try it again maybe i'll get only 6 this time, then i lower it for a set with a few more reps which is again to failure at maybe lets say 8-10 reps...
I do not adhear to any strict rules and such about how much reps and this and that... what do you guys think about this training to failure?

I achieved my best results from training to failure and including techniques such as forced reps and negatives. At that time, my brother worked out with me so I had a reliable training partner. Going to failure on your own is not as effective as with a good training partner. I don't care who you are; there are just times when the mind wants to quit but your body can take more. This is were the training partner is invaluable. The key with training to failure is recovering properly from the workout. You cannot train nearly as frequently as the person who stops before failure.

It does exhaust you, but thats why you have all week to recover and do it again.

Hitting muscle failure means no thither growth because you cannot give the body the new stimulus it needs for growth over the coming weeks, don’t get me wrong Training hard or harder than hard is all that will do in terms of muscle growth, it must be done. But you don’t have to kill yourself doing it….

I'm up in the air on this one...I'm such a "instinctive" trainer i guess...i walk in the gym and if i want/feel like i can go till failure, then hell yes i do it.. some days I dont feel this way...I'm seeing good results, maybe try that

it's a must for muscle growth but then it requires way more rest than usual.
