    Mark Dugdales routine effective???

I was just reading up on Mark Dugdales workout routine. It seems he only does 2 working sets for each exercise. What are your thoughts on this? Is that effective enough or is this probably a program that works just for him?

What is his reasoning behind such low working sets?

some people believe in low volume...some believe in one all out intense set..depends on what works for each person

I don't see how a person can grow from it, but then again Dorian Yates does about the same thing so who am I to dissagree.

I have used a similar program in the past and was very happy with the results. Just make sure you warm up properly, because the weight is going to be heavy. You will become very strong on this program, due to the fact that you will not be fatigued from numerous sets. Watch your calorie intake close on this program because you will not burn as many calories with the reduced volume.

he says 2 sets... but does like 3 or 4 warm ups. so he really is doing as many as the rest... he just considers the others warmups...

Never worked for me personally, I needed more volume.

Not an EXCESS amount of volume (over-training) just more.

everyone is different...give it a shot and if it works for ya, try it out....if not go with more of a higher volume approach....see what your body responds to the best a stick with it
