    Leg Workout

wats up guys just wondering if this is a good leg workout...

5 sets of heavy squat ass to the floor

5 sets of heavy Stiff leg deads

5 sets of standing calf raises

Maybe throw in 1 more exercise for quads like leg press or leg ext,or is 5 sets of squats enough????

    Thanks Guys...

I wouldn't recommend going past parallel on the squats, you can damage your knees that way. Heavy isn't the way to go on stiff leg deads, it's a stretching movement and can easily mess up your lower back if done improperly. Calf raises- well you can pretty much do those any ole day of the week, I hit mine every other day and I wouldn't really consider it part of leg day. So, you've only got one exercise for quads and one stretching movement for hams. IMO not a good leg day. I'd at least incorporate something like leg extensions, maybe some lunges, front squats and then some hamstring curls. Look into SC's leg routine for an excellent change of pace.

Mmm not my idea of a real tough leg day. You at least need another quad exercise. Could be lunges, leg press, hack squat, the list goes on... Leg extensions don't do much for mass, but they are good for getting the blood into the leg muscles, so it's more of a warmup than anything. As for hams, if you are only going to do one exercise make it curls, high reps (15+) for four sets.
