- Shrugs...with dumbells, on a smith machine, standing with barbells, standing with barbells (behind your back)
- Upright rows
- Standing calf machine (shrug with your shoulders instead of calves)
- Seated rows...stiff upper body, slowly bring your shoulders back and try to touch your shoulder blades together...keep your arms straight

Pete is right on .... vary your grip and position, focus on your traps pulling up your arms . try and not move your arms a great deal ... good luck

The sit down hammer strenght woks real well.. I do them at thend of my work out.. I like to let the wieght hang from my hands, the pulling down effect puts alot of stress on mt traps. They seem to get a very intense pump from this. I also get a great pump from doing bent arm lateral raises..

My favorite is upright rows for traps - though the traps are secondary they are VERY well worked in that exercise
I incorporate most of my trap workout into my shoulder lifts with the exception of shrugs

Dumbell shrugs and upright row are good for the traps.Work them hard and it makes all the difference to your appearance

Shrugs
I'll do dumbell shrugs and shrugs on the Smith machine with the bar behind my back. I have to admit that there are somedays that my neck looks really good and some days that it looks like shit.

the grip you take on the upright row will dictate how much of your traps will be hit. the wider you go, the more the stress you put on your shoulders. if you go narrow, more stress will be on traps. also try one arm shrugs. if you're doing your left arm, turn your head to the right and shug up. for right arm, turn to the left.

I'm gonna give your one arm trap excerise a try next week. I tried doing a few here at the house with the weights that I have here and it really hit the traps hard. Thanks for the tip,

If there is one body part that makes ya look extremely powerful its TRAPS!!!
Just imagine Bill Goldberg without Traps!
Traps are like calves they can be hit every other day or at least twice a week!

man you guys took the words right out of my mouth. I love doing traps and I do exactly what you guys do. Traps make the appearance. There is nothing like having big traps, they give you that Hee Man look I think. Good post man.. and good responses guys.. I totally 100% agree (that is a first)
