First of all I would ask...Have you had a good exam? What was the result? If it is osteo arthritis then did your Dr. prescribe Viox or Celebrex? You should for certain be using glucosamine/chondroitin. Secondly if you have pain after a workout but now during you may be fine just warming up better, using a neoprene wrap while training and usning ice for 10-15 minutes after training.

Good for you bro. I like the Viox a lot better so ask your Dr. But to be honest with you since I've been using a good brand of gluco/chond my knees are a lot better. I wrap them when I squat heavy, and I ice them at night on squat days. I only use the Viox when I need it.

I didn't get that you had a knee injury or maybe I missed it? I wasn't really sure. I have seen alot of knee injuries, and depending on the injury I have seen guys come bay 300% with proper PT and strenght training. perhaps you are tryin to do to much? Try with lower weights, work your way up. I have seen soo many knee injuries get actually better with weight training when properly done. Try lowering the weight, concentrate on the strenghting, and wrap those knees when you work out, don't worry people won't say much about it, just tell them you are a traiing to be a power lifter.. hee haaa.. Actually not doing leg exercises will decrease the strength of the knees and make it probally worse. I would not give up on the legs workout, just be careful start off slow and keep going at it. Trust me, I have seen alot of knee injuries.

    Bad Knees

    Hey JRMY2711,
I would have to agree with Dumbells on this one. It sounds like the problem may very well be in the joint itself. I had a similar instance although it was with my right shoulder joint. I went to Wal Mart, if there is not one near you may be able to get this at your local pharmacy. Try a product called Osteo-Flex. The extra strenght is only $16 a bottle last time I got some. I noticed a remarkable difference in only 4 days of taking it and had no pain what so ever a short time after that. It aids in building up your cartiledge and fluids in all of your joints. Although I am no longer taking it anymore I did continue to take it for quite some time even though the pain was gone. Sicilian made a good point as well about keeping your strength up in your legs. I would be careful though. Lifting on a really bad joint can do more harm than good. Make sure if the pain continues that you have it checked out by your doctor. Good Luck

    Tobey
