    Question Super-Slow Training

    Have any of you tried it?
    How many seconds did you use for the concentric phase? The eccentric phase?

    I've been doing it and liking it! Muscle size seems to be coming along after many years of simply too much powerlifting. I've been doing 4 sec eccentric, 2 sec concentric with pauses at top and bottom.

    I've used it...wasn't all that impressed.

    What i use now is a modified version.

    I'm only superslow on the negative...and explosive on the positive.

    My negative count varies from bodypart to bodypart.

    With chest for example it's a 4-count

    I tried it after reading Mike Metzner's book on HIT. I would recommend it to anyone to try. Just make sure you have a spotter because the first few reps would be fine and then it felt like you hit a brick wall and the difficulty trippled. A few times I almost dropped the weight on myself.

    I was so impressed by the pump and the burn that I was getting. After about 3 months I switched back to volume training (which I'm currently doing now).

    I'll probably switch back in a few weeks.
