What type of routine do you guys use to get a great pump on the rectus abdominus?
I do 3 x 100 sit ups (arms fully extended).
3 x 30 reverse crunches.
3x 30 partial leg raises.

alot of cardio.................then they show........
bump to what murph said....and you have to eat right
Yup i was going to say the same thing CARDIO!!
would running a mile everyday be good enough for the six packs to come out?
I would say 2-3 miles. 1 would only take 10 minutes at 6 mph,2-3 is 20-30 minutes. Frequency depends on your time frame to reach your goal, overall I try to run every other day.
Everybody keeps talking about distance...this makes no sence to me?
A to see your abbs you have to be at a certine BF level.
B I though the most important thing about cardio was to get in your target heart range and stay there as long as you can?
Agreed, I like 20-30 minutes, and 6mph puts me at a good heart rate, just so happens that 6mph equates to 1 mile every 10 minutes.
I know I keep posting this link on other posts, but I just can't say enough about it. It is such a kick ass workout and the pounds are coming off quick, for me anyways. Also, in this study, they used the bike, but I am using sprints because I live so damn far out in the country.

Also, I should say that you can change the intervals of sprints/jog if you like. Currently I am doing a 1:3 ratio. 30 sec sprint, 90 sec jog. I have read several different theories on changing the ratio, but suffice it to say thats about all I can handle for now w/o puking. Send me a PM if your really interested and I'll dig up those old posts.
