leg surgery
I kneed to know how much knee surgery that happened about three years back could affect a leg work out. I have a friend that works out with me, who had knee surgery in high school. He is always afraid to do leg works outs with me because of this. I don’t know if I should tell him to always do light weight or if he could do heavy some times

What exactly did he have surgery for, some kind of CL repair? Reconstruction?

As long as his knee specialist didn't give him any contraindicated exercises, he should be fine. Just start slowly and gradually increase the resistance. This will strength his knee and aid in prevention of future knee problems.
