Don't forget pull-ups + jump roping.
Thats a lot of time spent to stimulate the muscle...why not go to the gym and get a better workout...

I think they should always be done, especially if your on vacation, away from the gym etc.

I use them for a warm up/pump up, or like geobatman said when on vacation or something like that.
